Maybe some of us would like to post photos/thoughts of Chuck here?

2) Chuck & David at our Whole Hog stop on the way to Palooza
3) Finished up washing our cars, '09 Palooza

Chuck: Was a gracious, thoughtful, caring human being. Can't get any better than that. I had a whole lot less contact with Chuck than many of you, but am affected because he was just so nice.

Great idea Bill...
What a great guy.
We sent him a shirt when he first became ill to try and cheer him up a bit. Small thing but we didn't know what else to do (This was Darin's idea, BTW, I don't want to take the credit). He sent this pic back to us with a funny story:
"Funny story. One of my co-workers at the Sinclair station was Willie- who was about 40 years old. Great guy. One day, my shift is up and I realize I need some gas to make it home (about 12 miles). I only had a quarter but I figured that would buy me enough gas to get home (it did). We were not allowed to pump gas into our own cars. Always had to ask a co-worker to pump gas for us. I asked Willie if he'd give me .25 cents of premium. He said yeah-You want me to sneeze in your tires too? I laughed all the way home! Still makes me laugh."

Very sorry to hear about this. I never had the pleasure of interacting with Chuck directly, but I saw his contributions to this board over the years and read the stories from those he did meet. By these things I know he must have been a terrific man. I hope his family sees these threads and takes some comfort from them.

Thanks for this thread Bill.
I really wish I'd had the chance to meet Chuck in person. As many did, I had a great time emailing back & forth with him and always enjoyed his passion and enthusiasm for his car, life & family.
When he bought the Kinesis Supercup's from me, he was showing great signs of improvement & his excitement to get the last few mods done to his 993 was infectious. Here's a picture he sent me just after getting the wheel's mounted, along with the email... Typical Chuck.
"Hey Nick, You are right on. Could the center color be less perfect? My body guy was impressed with your color choice and complimented your paintwork. Jerry is a true artist at this stuff so that's quite a compliment! Many who have seen the car in person since I got the wheels on- their first comment is almost always is the centers are the perrect color. And they do like the wheels!
You are absolutely correct, 'done' is a great feeling. Since I knew I wouldn't be able to drive when I got the car back, I"m doing OK with that -no choice. But being able to go into the garage and look at it has lifted my spirits so high. I feel great. I may gooof around since I got time and try and paint the lug nuts. I need little distractions like this.
Talk to ya later. Thanks for everything. Man, I couldn't be happier!
Gotta go look at the car!

I was one of the fortunate ones that got to meet Chuck.
That is all I can say right now other than this:
Zbogom prijatel Chuck. Nek te bog uvjek cuva.
Sometimes Hallmark cards say it right:
At the end of this life is an open door, and beyond that there is peace...........
One last time.... Hugs, JoAnne
