How urgently should I treat this? (pic)
Topping up my oil today and noticed this cracked rubber above the fan housing - not sure how urgently I should get this fixed. (ie: should I pay local prices for a part - or have I got time to get a part in from overseas at most likely less than half the New Zealand price...?)

You'll be okay to drive normally with that. No need to "baby" it. Mine was REALLY messed up, and I was fine driving it around. I ended up using some duct tape to seal the hole as it got bigger until the part came in. The part number is on the underside of it. There's two you can order, so make sure you at the right one.
To give you an idea of how bad mine was

Looks like its not the typical "hole" like above, but a split at the joint - no rush, order overseas and replace it. As the previous poster says, monitor it, and if it really gets worse, tape it in the meanwhile. Ugly but effective.

To save you a little trouble the part for your car is:
964 106 403 02
Should be around $45 or less + shipping
The 993 part # is about $10 cheaper but will not fit with your blower housing

Duct tape it up until the replacement can be installed.
