- 19" HRE's, H&R coilovers and a few other mods.
-Partial re-paint after engine fire

What would you pay? $30k?
Engine fire? Umm, nowhere near $30K. More like $20K.

If you're looking for unneeded problems, headaches and drama, instead of looking for a train-wreck $30K C4S, just go date Lindsay Lohan.

You are NOT going to find a nice C4S for $30K. You're gonna find a crappy one that you need to dump $5K-$10K into, which will then be a $35-$40K C4S. With that in mind, why don't you just shop for a well-cared for $40K C4S instead?

Exactly...I don't understand why someone would want a car with a tainted history just to get into a widebody???

Why not consider a non-widebody, well cared for 993 instead? Otherwise pay up sucka.

Wow! Thanks for the insight...I guess. I really got it handed to me there.

You guys really think a car (that was appropriately repaired) with a marred history and a different engine is only worth $20K? I'm not doubting your wisdom, just seems low,low to me given the market.

Got what I asked for I guess.

We're talking about a very particular niche market. Not many people shell out $30k+ for 15 y/o cars that boast the (relatively) modest performance of the 993. At these prices, people expect certain things: well-cared for cars (incl. mechanics and general aesthetics), more-or-less original major parts, etc. When those things aren't on the table, you're no longer talking about a 993, you're talking about a Frankenmachine. The entire reason people pay the big bucks for these cars is because they are pure 911s and not Frankenmachines.

Great timing with this post. I'm selling my Arena Red 4S, just haven't posted it yet.

Short story is:
~88K miles
Roock RS550 Competition Wheels with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires (new rears, 60% fronts)
Bilstien HD with M030 springs and sways (ride height at bottom of ROW +5mm)
KLA strut brace
Euro front bumper
Aftermarket HIDs
TechArt fogs & ducts
LPMMs
Factory RS motor mounts
Factory short shift lever
Porsche OE Big Ovals
Oil cooler fan override switch
Porsche CDR-220 with faceplate upgrade

Recent maintenance includes:
Oil & both filters replaced
Air & fuel filters replaced
New brakes and rotors, front and rear, fluid flushed
Oil leak from oil pressure & temperature sender housing fixed
ISV & VarioRam cleaned

The bad: the A/C does not work.

Asking $35,000

This car has been a daily driver, runs strong and has been very reliable. Wear is commensurate with its age and mileage. Oil usage is ~1qt per 1,500 miles.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Love the Roocks.
PM me if you decide to sell 'em separate.
May not fit my narrow body though.....

WOW! Great car and price!! I have never seen a C4S this nice with under 100k miles (and assumably no stories) this cheap.

+1, again if no stories.

To the seller, have you considered fixing the AC and asking a more 'market correct' price? The fix shouldn't cost more than $2-3k on the high end.

For a clean C4S with 88k on the odo and the upgrades, this is easily a $39-40k car...
