Spoiler Alert!
Something odd happened tonight... I drove the car for about half an hour at various speeds up to 60MPH, then stopped but did not turn it off. When I stepped out I noticed that my rear spoiler was fully erect! Well, technically it was fully horizontal but anyway...
I closed it with the switch inside the cabin and then drove off. I drove for another 1.5 hours at speeds well above 55MPH, but the spoiler didn't go up. I also am not getting any ! messages on the dash. The spoiler light comes on when I start the car and comes off after I drive off.
Any insight as to what the issue could be? The car is a '96 with the stock spoiler module. New spoiler wall a year ago.

Ilko, is the speedometer working properly? Also, try your cruise control and see if it engages on the next drive. Could be clutch or brake switch among other things.

Thanks Mike. Speedometer's working fine. I don't even know how to operate the cruise control. Never ever used it. But will try it. Clutch was replaced over the winter, new components all around. Brake switch activates the brakes fine as well...
BTW I picked up your cupholder tonight, will drop it in the mail tomorrow.

function disabling mod. The connection appeared to be tight, but it wasn't
solid. I was advised by a fellow RL'er to try using 2 zip-ties to really snap/force
the plug and module together. It solved my spoiler woes in the spring.

I've had those little rubber nut covers on the left side under the spoiler come off, usually after washing & drying. They tend to fall into the plastic spoiler gear cover and jam one of the micro switches.

Is the relay clicking when you get to speed and slow down? I can hear mine.
You might just get lucky and unplug, check contacts, then plug back in.
Mine stopped one time, after my 2yo daughter helped me clean the car, she unplugged part of it.
