WTB: Batphone
Does anybody happen to have a "Batphone" assembly they'd be willing to sell?
I'm thinking of rigging up my interior with an iPad Mini and I think the batphone assembly could be modified as a perfect iPad Mini holder.
Thanks!

If we expand the category from "overpriced 993 options" to "overpriced Porsche options," I think $1,190 painted air vents take top prize: http://jalopnik.com/5961179/the-most...ry-car-options

I'm not sure you will fit the iPad mini in the console as its a bit too wide.
I fitted a double din head unit into one of my old customer.
He paid a silly price for it (I can't remember now much). When I looked at it I found it is not actuly a factory part as such but a modified original console, this is how they come from Porsche and the reason for the hefty price tag. Custom parts from Porsche can't be cheap.
So your probably better of making your own console as it will fit better and work out a LOT cheaper.
I'll see if I can find some old pics.

In any event...I'm excited to see pics of...whatever it is!

Found this info elsewhere on RL:
The panel itself is about 19.3675cm wide and 17.145cm tall, it starts to taper about 10.795cm from the top. The opening is slightly smaller than these dimensions.
From Apple:
The iPad Mini is 13.47cm wide and 20cm tall.
The iPad would be oriented horizontally. So it looks like the Batphone is less than a centimeter too thin. The tapering may or may not be a problem, as well...

Here is a pic of it in the car.
In the lower pic the front fascia was a tempory so is not clipped in. I was waiting for the thin leather to trim it.
I still have another fascia and the strip of icons for the buttons spare that I can take measurements from if you need them.

Thanks!
Any measurements would be appreciated. I'm trying to determine whether an iPad Mini could be made to fit into the console...even if some modification was required. I'm a little less than optimistic at this point...
