Fantastic stuff, Jackal! As go may recall, those are the Sam roads I drive every summer and everytime I read about your trips it makes me get the fever and want to be back now!
As fad as Switzerland, yes they are strict on speed, and yes violations are expensive. A friend got a 2500 euro fine after negotiating with them. He has a 993 and lives in Lucerne. He has a new beast of a turbo now and met us for Grimsel pass this past summer.
I may have gotten two speeding tickets last year via speed camera, but my buddy in Germany hasn't said any have come in, so maybe not.

Wow, you hit a lot of rain in 2012. I do recognize quite a few mountain rods you were on. I have a contour cam and could probably some nice footage too but my laptop's too slow and I hate staring at the progress bar.
Very nice roads. Hope you'll have the same fun again in the coming years.
Let me know when you're Austria, Italy or Switzerland. We take the cab out in the summer months and we're always looking for a target to drive to.

Great video and pics, thanks for posting.
As others have said, it really nailed the ownership experience on the head for me. I have wanted a 911 since I was 11-12 years old (1980-81) and finally realized that dream with the purchase of my 1st 993 in early 2006. Little did I know this would open a whole new chapter on life with new friends and great experiences while sharing a similar passion for these cars. Close to 7 years later, that feeling is stronger than ever. Yes, it is just a car, but it has brought tremendous enjoyment through all of these experiences and I now have an unhealthy attachment to a machine.

I happened on your website (like I often do, THANK YOU!) the other day and saw the picutres. Didn't know there was a video until now. Great!
BTW, It was after reading your review on RS motormounts that inspired me to do the same. Supremely great! You have one of the best websites for a 993 owner. Now I have to do a European trip.
Thanks again.

Thanks much for sharing the detailed accounting here and on your site.., really enjoyed that. My fave photo has already been posted in this thread, but here's my second-fave:
