oh man - I think I like some of ^yourseses modelseses^... more than many of yours or my actual cars - wow
srsly nice stuff - thanks for the pics, those were fun
wow again
and
lol about the 'kids away from them' bit... that's why a few of mine are crooked - they're behind glass but we take them out and talk about them occassionally, and they're surprisingly pretty gentle w/ them

You are braver than I. I made the mistake of letting my big guy, who was four at the time look at my Me 262. Lets just say that glue was needed after. He's six now and knows better. Either that or he has lost interest. My two year-old... that's another story. When I catch him getting too close he looks at me and shakes his finger while saying no, no, no.
On a different note. The Porsche museum has a pretty cool display of 1/43 next to the cafe. That gift-shop is dangerous!

Oh... it def started that way w/ shoo-ing them away - behind glass helps the temptation, and handing them to them for brief moments 'broke them in' I believe.
Firmly out of those woods now @ 10/8/8, not to mention my junkers sorta kinda pale in comparo to some of the gems here lol 8-)
They did bust up my Auburn pretty well tho early on, a fragile bit that. Only one exposed w/in reach so guess I deserved that d'oh...

...another of our pinewood derby cars from yearseseses ago:
the challenge w/ those is that you're bound by wheelbase / track issues so capturing the scale and dimension can prove interesting
fun stuff regardless

We ended up with over 1000 Porsche sale models before deciding to start selling them off. Still have about 400 left.
Now we have narrowed down the "keepers" to just one display case....EXOTOs, AutoArts and some one-offs, including one of each of the 18 full size Porsches that we've owned over the years.

Where do I begin! I had a feeling that you had some gems from a few of your posts. I was in Porsche's archives this past summer and the few models they have on display are put to shame by what you have.
I honestly have to digest what I have just seen. I knew that you were cool, just not this cool.
Thank you for sharing what has to be the best collection that I have ever seen. I remember reading an article awhile back in Excellence about a person who has a spare home to store his/her cars and artwork. For all I know, that could be you.
