Your Turbo S DME is OBDII and has the CEL signal, so you HAVE check engine light. At night, put a flashlight at dash oil pressure temp gauge, you will see the CHECK light
Bulb fried or removed, put one.
After re-connecting battery, you have to drive the car a little bit for the readiness codes.
If it is cheap, do an error clearing at the dealer after.
Maybe the factory installed the K24's, and not the previous owner
Go down on your hands and knees in front of front bumper and check inside black grill up, if you have the auxiliary small oil cooler, under driver side headlight.
look at page 1 in this thread, you will see where it mounts.
You realized your car has the 450hp DME, cool no ?
Thanks George. Yes, now I realize I have 450 HP 993tt. I was in doubt.

Like I said, my car is pretty much a Turbo S from factory and perhaps to finsih the engine power to make it to 450 HP was a side job/install.

The Turbo S oil cooler that is located in left front (driver side) is there and from factory.

Here are three photos of my car and the VIN specs if you want to check. Tell me what you think?

Thanks,

PS: I will check carefully about the CEL light and report back. My euro BMW's from 90's doesn't come with check engine light unlike US specs BMW's not even the drawing of the check engine light are present, because not CAT and no =2 sensors from factory because of lead gas country.

In the 993 Turbo with unleaded fuel, there are
two O2 sensors before catalytic for Control
two O2 sensors after catalytic for Diagnose

you will be placing two diagnosis O2 sensors only for leaded option M150
In the absence of control O2 sensors, the temperature rise delta between the two O2 sensors before/ after catalytic, would not be calculated, thus no error
Just read this reply, I missed previously.

Yes, my car has 4 bung/cap on the exhaust, but basically I would need two of these oxigen sesnors

http://www.einmaligparts.com/Oxygen-..._p_169182.html

Then I will have to put them AFTER (DIAGNOSE) the CAT since I have M150 option right?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Before or after does not change anything, but the TSB mentions putting them BEFORE the Cats, in the place of the control ones.
You do not need to buy the O2 sensors with a porsche box.
The same from BOSCH is the part number 0258003577

Nice looking Porsche! But the "S" script on the rear spoiler is not the correct script for a Turbo S; it's from a Carrera.

Thanks George. I will look into it.

GT9111, guess you have a good trained eye. I don't know (or didn't know) it was a "S" script from the Carrera S and not from a Turbo S. I didn't put/install the "S", the car was purchased witht hat already there. I need to contact the first former owner of the car so he can explain me the story behind this car

George,

do you know what's the correct connector to plug the new TWO oxigen sensors I'm buying to retro fit them?

Black or gey?

Left side

Right side

Also, this is a screen shot that I got when I did the PPI and I still have to look for the CHECK ENGINE bulb (hard to see) if is present.

BTW...my Durametric scan tool didn't find any 02 sensors related DTC's present when I did the DTC rea dout, which is weird and the OEM Porsche scanner did find these oxigen sensor related DTC's.

Thanks for any input.

You slide the black connector out of the bracket in the picture. You pull the red security lock out a little bit (like a box of small wood matches) you plug the O2 plug, and re-close the red security lock, back on the bracket

They're sure r fun little cars. Mine has the tiptronic shifter; it's still in the garage but will be picked up on Sunday. It will be missed.

Now back on topic.

Hi Geroge,

I just got two BOSCH 02 sensors.

The numbers stamped on them are:

LSH 25

993.606.127.01

0 258 003 577

I tried to connect them to the BLACK connector of the car, but it won't fit, but will fit correctly in the GREY connector as shown.

Did I order wrong the 02 sensors or the TSB got it wrong and they really meant to connect to the GREY connectors?

Thanks,

This is very logic.
Normally they would change the O2 plugs , but since you are far...
Take pictures of both cables going into the grey plug and black plug in the car.
Replace the car black plug with the grey plug by exchanging the plug socket.
and then plug the O2 sensors.
Keep a note with the car papers
