Sorry to hear you crunched up yojr baby.
If you go through them and they total it, you can usually buy it back. It may be to your advantage to do this if you can get them to pay market value on the car. The downside really sucks, you now have a salavage titled car.
Where are you located?

Sorry to hear about this.
I know Jscott82 had a passenger airbag for sale on the forum this week, if not I have one and could get it to you in a couple of weeks if you can wait.
Are you sure there is no damage to the passenger side chassis leg? Impact to setoff airbag and to have the insurance company write the car off would seem to me there is some structural damage.

My worst nightmare.
I'v got a White 97 C2S and slowly working on the front. Replaced the amber corner markers and now debating between Euro turbo front v bumperette delete and turbo S air ducts. I can keep you in loop if you want about pieces coming off in the near future.

There are a number of Porsche dismantlers in the US that would probably have the parts. I'd get on the phone with each. Some have pretty good reputations. A couple don't! Use the search function here for details. Sorry to hear about the damage. Hopefully no one was hurt. Cars can be fixed!

Let your insurance company total the car. Have them pay you for the full value of the claim and then offer to buy it back from them for pennies. Then get the car fixed and boom you have a fancy 993 cheap.

Hi Anthony... Sorry to hear about your misfortune... I had the same happen a few years ago so know what you are going through...
Used fenders are going to be hard to find and expensive if you do... In retrospect I wish I had just bought them new from the dealer.
I have both airbags (passenger and Driver) you are welcome to them for free, the only catch is I cant/wont ship them. Where are you? We would have to work out some way to get them to you.

not such a problem if he plans on keeping the car long term.

Now that the insurance company knows that the car has been in an accident does it automatically show up on the permanent record even if the owner doesn't file an accident claim?
I'd have the integrity of the frame examined by a local shop specializing in this type of work, so you will know the severity of the damage.

I am new to this forum but member of others for years, I have a 97 white 993 that is my baby, 2 weeks ago I crashed the car and need help putting it back together, need front fenders, passenger airbag, front bumper reinforcement, front splitter, fog lights etc..... My insurance company wants to total the car but I just feel these are so hard to come by that its such a shame to do so.. I am paying out of pocket so any help would be great. The car just had sheet metal damage and I hate to see it scrapped.

You might be surprized that new OEM parts are not as expensive as expected if you go to places like Sunset. I needed to do a front repair and saved 30% easily over the prices in the estimate for new OEM parts. Often, junk yards (just look at LA Dismantelers) are quite expensive, considering the origin of the parts.
