Your mufflers are likely not OEM. Probably Schnell, Fabspeed, etc... No extensions available for this unless you have someone weld on longer outlet pipes.

I’ve never heard of any sort of short extension, What kind of idiot muffler maker would design it to require special tips?!?! Such idiocy. I’m guessing someone obscure like Billy Boat or such. Neither of those tips seems acceptable.

The mufflers are likely old fabspeed max flows. I had the exact same issue and Darrin at FD Motorsports was able to fabricate some extension pieces so i could use stock tips. Older max flows had shorter output flanges due to the longer tips that came with them.

Couldn't you just have a muffler shop weld on some new longer pipes with flange to make them similar to an OE muffler? If you need measurements I have my mufflers off and could send you some of you need them.

Well first thanks everybody for the answers.

at this point I guess I’ll really have to go that route. weld.

I was sure it would have been the simplest plug and play job, and that’s why I had already painted the tips.......well....that’s the fun part.
ill definitely take measurements but definitely if anybody has done something similar or has mufflers not installed Samurai) it would definitely be helpful to address the job.
there are some extensions that I’ve seen online that you can bolt with clamps.....looks easier but still I think a good properly made weld will be the route to go...

I wouldnt bother with other people measurements, they will be different to your car. Measure both and I bet they wont be the same! You want the tips to just clear the PU by about 15mm
