Default Schnell Wide Oval Tips Installation

I just received my brand new black chrome wide oval tips by Schnell from Vertex Automotive, and wanted to share with you all how awesome these tips are, here's a pic:

This is how I installed them:

Tools needed

1. WD 40
2. Impact wrench with 13mm socket
3. 13mm box end wrenches
3. Ratchet w/ 13mm socket
4. Prying tool or large screw driver
5. Long nose plyers

Step 1.
Spray WD40 on retaining bolt and nut on each side

Step 2.

Remove the nuts using your impact wrench with 13mm socket and a 13mm box end wrench

Remove existing tip by prying out retaining clamp and set aside, then prepare the new tip and fit retaining clamp by prying open enough as to go over the new tip flange.

Step 3.

Place new tip on exhaust pipe flange and install bolt with washers and nut using a ratchet w/13mm socket and 13mm box end wrench and tighten securely (do not use impact wrench to re-tighten)

Align the tip before tightening the nut and bolt and you are done.

Total installation time one hour.

Yes my 993 is a NB, I don't know if they carry WB tips.
I just checked their website and didn't see any wide body tips.

The ones FD Motorsports sells are nice. That is what I have. They follow the bumper contour.

The FDs contour looks nice, however, the FDs look unfinished without rolled ends. I like the ends rolled

Agreed, the ends need to be rolled IMO. That's the main reason I've yet to purchase the FD tips.

Really like those. Might get some for my car. A buddy goofed on my stock tips and said I need to polish them. I said I did!

I like the "black chrome" finish.

@CarreraX ~ AMAZING tips! I've never noticed how much longer the RUF ones are. I love my FDs, but they are so "stubby" compared to this!
