Default Engine Removal Question: Bumper on or off?

I am going to drop the engine/ trans in a few months and am reading about it now.

Question: For those who have done it, did you remove bumper or not?

I am curious. I am using my scissor lift and am excited about it.

Thanks,

The first time I did it,I removed my rear bumper. I was using floor jacks and jack stands, and I could not get the car high enough to clear the bumper. The second and third time,I left the bumper on, as I was using my friends lift. I assume the scissor lift will get it high enough to clear the bumper. Have fun.

ON. I've used the MaxJax lift and it's gets it high enough that the ISV goes out through one of the exhaust cutouts, using a harboe freight lift table to lower the engine.

Hmmm... I used to clean up the underside first, then lower the car to the floor, ( rears wheels off ), then finish up on top, raise the car leaving the engine on the pallet on the floor.

Of course that was my '75 2.7S.... So, a few years ago.

On. Even if not using a lift you can raise the car enough to slide the blob out.
