Default Seeking a real 993 GT2 Street Version

Yes, I know how expensive they are. Would really appreciate any and all leads for a LHD car.

Best to reach me at michaelkelter1@mac.com.

With my thanks,

Michael

I'm sure that's an awesome car and all...but I'm not feelin' that huge wing...out of proportion is an understatement...my opinion of course...

Never available here officially, but there are a few around from my understanding. Seinfeld has a black GT2 (real deal, not a rep).

993 GT2 STREET VERSION (both M002 and M003) never officially available in North America. The cars that are here were brought in privately. You could likely count the number of cars on one hand and not use all your fingers.

Very unscientifically, I'd estimate ~10 simply because I'm acquainted with the owners of 4 in the U.S.
Edit: I drafted that ^^ before Tim posted. Since I consider him the top RL authority when it comes to 993RS & GT2s,

...I now offer my estimate with a grain of salt.

For OP, secretcollector -- there's a 993 Turbo currently FS on RL that might possibly interest you, though it's admittedly not what you requested.
However, if helps 2 RLers at once, consider ScottMellor's ANDIAL 3.8 L Twin Plug Conversion.
It's 1 of 19 certified in the world; 17 remain. Irreplaceable. ANDIAL won't be making any more!

Boost gauge!

...& then there's THIS

Notice the words "unscientific" & "grain of salt" in my post ...but if I'm acquainted with 4 in the U.S. without asking around much or 'beating the bushes,' I suspect it's likely there are ~10 on the continent.

The following's admittedly rather lame since I'm not at liberty to disclose names/locations/colors/mileage/VINs & don't want to (further) raise expectations...

In recent years, I've posted pics of 2 of them here on RL that the owners' brokers sent me
I asked for permission beforehand. 1's since become public & you mentioned it above. The other said I could post it, but didn't offer that I could discuss it if anyone noticed it. FWIW, no RLers replied to my post so the latter became a non-issue. If someone finds it now, I may just reply, "Yep, that looks like a GT2 " until I get further direction on behalf of its owner.
The remaining 2 belong to friends who often avoid the public spotlight. 1 of them occasionally ships his U.S. vehicles to his overseas collection & vice versa, so it may not be in America at the moment.

(FYI, I don't have hyperlinks to offer to back up those "~3 others FS" in my original post so I promptly deleted the reference, but looks like your fast fingers already quoted it.)

I gave my unscientific wag estimate, but since I don't personally have 1, I'll stop writing about 'em here 'til I've asked their owners for the latitude to discuss details publicly.

What I do know: a RLer has an ultra-rare 629 hp ANDIAL twin-plug Turbo for sale

to OP...I would respectfully suggest you contact all the big hitters in the hi-end Porsche re-selling world...Canepa, Tru Speed, Sloan, etc. Paying a premium for an authetic GT2 is a given, finding one is the hard part. These dealers would know where any might be, part of someone's collection, etc. Might as well get your name/contact info out there if you haven't already.

Good luck

off topic here, but...in that nice close up nose shot of Jerry's black beauty, looked like the center caps on the Speedline's were simply painted, no crest. Is that how the authentic Speedline RS wheels came, without a center crest? Need center caps for the Tramont Cups still, and might as well complete the impersonation.
