Default (Photos Added @ Post #63) New Years Eve North Georgia Mountain Run 2013

For the uninitiated, for the past six years Atlanta area Rennlisters have met at the end of GA 400 on New Years Eve morning, driven in the mountains of Northeast Georgia for 2-3 hours, eaten lunch and had everyone on the road home in time for New Years Eve festivities.

This is a weather-permitting event of course. Sometimes there is a route, other times not so much. We've always had fun.

Anyone interested in a 2013 edition?

Every year I see the great pictures from your runs, one of these days I have to drive down for the occasion

My daughter lives in Kew Gardens, Queens and they make the drive in a 170,000 mile 2002 S60 Volvo in about 17 hours including multiple stops for their one year-old. I'm thinking you could knock a few hours off that drive time.

In as usual. Crossing fingers for the temps to stay warm so that Richard B. Russell stays open.

Would love to join with my 964! Sadly I will be up north in NY, next year it is then...

And I've done the drive between the Catskills and Atlanta many times, not too bad and can make it down in about 15 hours!
