That adhesive is nasty stuff.

The best I found was goof-off or mineral spirits... It doesn't really dissolve it, as much as it prevents it from re-sticking as you rub it (if that makes sense).

Blow dryer may help too, cold weather doesn't.

3M makes an adhesive remover spray (that you can get at Wal-Mart or any auto supply store) that is pretty much the best stuff around. You gotta be quick with it because it evaporates fast. I usually soak the rag or paper towel and spray the affected area and hit it immediately.

Another vote for Goof Off. I keep a spray bottle of that stuff in my DE/Autox kit. Its amazing what it can safely remove form your paint . . .

Default Get it off...

Now...the longer it stays on the tougher to remove. Consider giving the car a 3M treatment...won't need tape anymore.

Goo Gone will work as well. Available at Lowe's (no affiliation).

If the other solutions don't work, try "Rapid Remover" from Rapid Tac.

Also available in quarts. You want the mineral based stuff, not the citrus stuff. Hard to find in the land of the free here in California.
