April 2, Arctic Silver Appreciation Day
We have had a long, snowy, windy winter here in Casper, WY. The C2S has spent the winter months tucked away, hidden in the garage. Finally time to get it out in the sun (sort of) nice photo opportunity with a fresh light dusting of snow last night.
Foreground is Three Crowns Golf Course, formerly an Amoco/BP oil refinery site that has been thoroughly cleaned up and brought back to life as a golf course, walking and running trails and an office complex. Background is Casper Mountain home to alpine and nordic skiing.

Arctic Silver Day???!!
While I drive my car year round, nice to have more traction without the white stuff on the roads.
All that driving this winter and I didn't have time to do the major maintenance planned for the off season....so now it's up on blocks waiting for my Pelican order.
Not the cleanest shot of the arctic silver paint on my C4S, but my favorite memory of the trip when I went to pick it up stopping just outside the reputed last known hangout of Billy-the-Kid in NM on the drive from San Diego to Connecticut.

And some of the other Arctic Silver cars I've had the opportunity to put miles on
My first one: a '97 C2S, bought in in AZ and drove it across Canada and the USA twice before selling to a fellow Rennlister. Greatest car ever.

My second one was a garage queen 1998 C2S with 24K miles on it. Drove it from CA to CT and just couldn't bring myself to add more miles on it or refuse the serious money a fellow PCA'er offered me. Sadly it's in a collection accumulating dust
