I would think that $130k would be a new world record for a 993 C2S.

Now I'm wondering what GYMGUY's old RB C2S would sell for in this market. I'm not a big slate grey fan, so a RB C2S would be even more astronomical in my mind.

Rudy, sorry to hear you couldn't get it. Bummer.

Rodney, a car like that is not for me , that car with that mileage needs to stay stock and you know me , I will be putting sport seats , pss10's , 3 spoke steering wheel , air ducts , paint calipers and on and on and on
Plus I already have a slate gray the riviera blue should be around $130k also

I just picked up a 2S for a quarter of the price, albeit with 160kmiles on the clock and not as rare/clean cosmetically but at least I can drive it.... hmmm, would I take FOUR 2S that I could drive around or ONE that I wouldn't drive around :P

The slate grey car will be hermetically sealed and likely not accumulate many more miles. Welcome to the collector world.

Anyone heard from "acheron800" since his auction thread was closed, or has he gone back behind his desk at the dealership?

Expect to see a lot more of this. I'm not saying I like it but as prices rise you'll see a lot more people in it just for the money. Thats just the way it is. Not every Porsche owner is a true Enthusiast, for some it's just a piece of metal and if they can make a quick buck in flipping a car they will do so without thinking twice.

Well it softens the blow when you have to put $$ into the cars anyway!

Same money as an 8000 mile 991 C2S....

The opportunity to buy something old and desireable that is as close as you will get to new is worth the premium.

I could not imagine parking one of these for only 8000 miles of use to date. They drive too nice to park in collection. Given that it is not the RS or GT2, im surprised it was parked for so long.
I guess being the last of the air cooled really got collectors thinking in the late 90's...

This is capitalism in action . . . the worst economic system except, of course, for all of the others!
