Default 44 Years of Porsches

An article I wrote is in the April issue of Windblown Witness, the monthly magazine of the San Diego Region PCA. It's about the six Porsches I've owned over the past 44 years. Follow the link, then scroll down to page 28.

Great, well written, article! Thanks for posting Eric. Also nice to see what goes on in other PCA regions.

Well done and good read! My first Porsche encounter was also with a 914. I still have the disease.

Great read! Wild to hear you didn't get in on PCA initially, back in the Golden Days. Someday I'll do a Porsche autobiography, but still got a decade in the bank before I hit your time in. But I also didn't come into the world until the "what are we going to replace the 356 with" conversations were going back at the factory.

Great story! I guess in another 20+ years I'll have 44 years of Porsches. LOL I share your love for the 993. I don't know if I could bond with a 911 with a radiator. How many Porsche miles have you driven?

Enjoyed the read. Your region's publication blows ours out of the water!

I put 200,000 miles on the 1971 targa, probably the same on the other five combined. So I'd guess close to 400,000.

Thank you for sharing! And yes, the Witness is one of the best regional PCA magazines.

Which are the others? Always has been that way. Was embarrassed to send my near self-done AZ region "Going Places" to them back in the mid-'80s for what I got in return......

Great article Eric, thanks for taking the time to share your story.

The free copy of Windblown Witness I picked up from Black Forest a while back convinced me I need to join PCA and the SDR. Great times and good friends have ensued. The SDR is a very special group of enthusiasts.

Emphasis on "special".... Indeed we have a diverse, incredibly active group here in SD. It really a pleasure to be associated with PCA-SDR and its quality people.

Eric, I read the article in the Witness a while back and it was really well written! Congrats on your 44 years of "The Disease".
