I remember a thread like this a few years ago!

Generally most people kept a DME handy and a .45 under the seat!

In the UK, because of EU laws, we can't do that unless the gun is securely attached - because in a sudden braking situation it may slide forward and impede the action of the brake pedal. This also means that if you have picked up a gentleman (or woman, don't want to be sexist about this - another EU Law) of the road they can have a knife at your jewels before you can untangle the "tool" from the fekin Velcro.

I sometimes carry a genuine police truncheon but the low roof line means I can't get much of a swing going. My brother in law drives a London style hackney cab. They have high roofs (so that one can wear a top hat) and he got a much better swing and broke the miscreant's arm.

Sorry to digress. We also carry reflective yellow safety vests (another EU law). This won't actually fix the problem but you can be seen to have broken down in your Porsche from quite a distance away and then trolls can post messages about how unreliable they are.

why would you need extra oil in the car? Seems like a mess waiting to happen. I keep my oil in the garage...it's not like you gonna need to add oil "on a moments notice".

In my frunk, I keep: spare key with fresh battery, wheel lock key, towels, all the oem stuff (toolkit, inflatable spare, pump kit, etc.), flashlight, windshield sunshade, Porsche hat

What's the reason for keeping spare key in the car? In case remote dies? I do keep a pair of batteries, but second key is at home.

Living in earthquake country I never know when I might be stranded on the freeway with a broken bridge ahead of me. I carry drinking water, snacks, TP, comfortable shoes, jacket, and a bottle of scotch.

I have (3) keys...so it's easier to just the 3rd key in the frunk...no worry about a screwdriver to swap out battery....all while car alarm is blasting away

My spare DME relay saved me today
It happened at the worst moment at the worst place: standing still in heavy traffic on a busy avenue with lots of shops & people
Luckily some people helped me out pushing the car to the side...
A faulty DME relay did not came to mind immediately but only after a few minutes. Threads on faulty DME relays pop up here from time to time so it's my turn to remind everybody of having one with you in the car.

I've now added:
-additional belt tools like 24mm box end, 13mm extra offset box wrench, belt tensioner
-straight air nozzle attachment that fits into my valve stems that are slightly recessed in my rims.

It's not unusual for me to jump into my car, with little prep and drive 700 miles in day. I like to make sure I've got what I need.
