Default Would this bother you? Or is it just me

Some of you may know my car was in an accident a month ago. It's all fixed now and looks great. They replaced the glass, but the new one has the white dot stamp on it. All around the car the stamps are black and on the inside of the glass. This white one is on the outside. And looks out of place.

The old glass had no stamp and the other side parallel glass has no stamp on it.

Am I being to picky? Can the color or stamp be removed?

I'm not that OCD, but I'd find it annoying because it would be a perpetual reminder of the accident. I'd guess that it could be removed in some way.

I think it is. The logo is on the outside glass and i took one of those half triangle razors and went over it feeling the bumps. But no luck.

And ya lol i did call the shop they are going to see if they can do anything on monday. I was just wondering if i was being to picky.

try razor blade on one small bit of it to see if its just paint on top...or do what Phil suggests....
<edit>Response started before I saw your 1min earlier than mine post above. Makes my suggestion a mute point... If its paint, a little Acetone will pull it off.

haha ya I'm sure how hard to do it. I don't want to damage it. But i'm going to try and give it another shot. I don't think it's paint, since i can feel it bumpy on the letters

Not paint; ceramic frit fired onto face of glass during safety glass tempering process....

10 minutes with a black Sharpie, maybe?

Any company that polishes windshields to remove scratches can polish it off for you

Single edged razor blades. Start at the small dots at bottom. If you're able to get them off, then the rest should be do-able.

Here is what I found on an other forum:

Tempered glass manufacturers are required to "etch, sand blast, ceramic fire or emboss the glass so that it cannot be removed". Tempered glass can be ordered without this logo and a statement must be signed that it will not be used in places that are required by the safety glazing law.

I would go back to the shop if I were you.

My attempt. Any more digging i feel like it may damage the glass. And ya I read something like that online, where they are required to put it on the glass.

I tried the razor at the dot. No luck. I guess we'll see on monday at the shop.

Thanks all!

Did you try the Sharpie? I thought that was a good idea.

Regards,
