If you have to have a cab then you got to do what you got to do.
I understand that Porsche fill a special order for 12 993 TT Cabs back in the day. Perhaps you can find one of those. Do forget to install a roll bar.
I love the sarcasm. I'll make the journey over in Spring and you can see what you think first hand. Then we can go for another spin in the Pitts

I prefer your turbo spoiler to mine. I was thinking of swapping mine in the near future.
I'm sure you'll agree you can't beat the whoosh with the roof down. IMHO we have the car Porsche forgot to build!
Great car!!!
Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks. Your car is beautiful!

This was my fathers car and build. He loved Porsche and speed and always wanted a convertible. I assumed responsibility after he passed away. I haven't had a chance to drive with the top down due to the time (season) I got it back. The whoosh with the top up isn't bad either

These turbo 'builds' are pretty rare it would be interesting if you guys would share a little about the build.

Sheams, sorry if I missed it, but is yours built on a C4 too? If c2, I can only imagine that will be quite a handful at times Is the Zenith(?) cab yours also? Sorry to hear about your father.

I purchased mine already done.

It was originally completed by Ninemeister. The build included 9m turbo package, Motec, turbo brakes, new suspension, sway bars etc..

The car has Gemballa steering wheel and side skirts and has had the rear fenders rolled a little.

I am not sure what the wheels are? If anyone could chime in?

Cheers

It is a C2. It is a handful but I have only been able to drive it in cooler weather. I'm sure once temps come up during spring/summer, grip will be better. Below is some insight on the build. The trans was rebuilt back to stock by Brian Copans and we added PSS10s, seats, harnesses and roll bar for safety's sake.

race 24/26 kkk turbo's modified with 18 wheels.....brand new...
stock crankshaft....balanced, center bearing grooved, cross drilled, ground rod journals for oil
block has been shuffle pinned, boattailed, and massaged for crankcase pressure relief
pauter rods
3.8 malhe piston and cylinders
new gt3 oil pump
twin plug heads, big intake valve, ported and polished intake ports
custom ground cams developed from flow numbers of heads
big injectors
special ecu tuning
modified signal from air mass
7200 redline
up to 22 lbs of boost

The Zenith Blue cab and the V700 belong to my mom although I am the primary caretaker (oil changes, filters, etc...)

Interesting thread, love to see people make the modifications to their cars that make them feel better no matter the costs and whatever the hell other people think.

By the way, thank you for the kind words. I feel very fortunate to have something so cool to remember him by. I can still remember going on the test drive with him before he bought it!
