Default A Proper Introduction

Hello everyone. My name is Matt. I've been posting on here for several weeks now, but have been putting off showing "good" pictures of my car until I got her in a little better shape. The rock guards were driving me crazy, the head lights were yellowed, and the wheels were scuffed. Since I bought the car about 6 weeks ago, I have removed the rock guards, swapped the lenses, refinished the wheels, and added quiet a few upgrades. I also addressed any deferred maintenance issues that existed. Here is a list of what I've done so far:

1997 Porsche Carrera 4S

Aftermarket Upgrade List

Full Set of Continental DW Tires
Pilkington Windshield
LED Kit (complete car)
HID Conversion Kit 4600k
BMC Air Filter (didn't use)
Fabspeed MaxFlo Intake Lid (didn't use)
Turbo S Ducts w/LED Light Kit
Black/Red CocoMats
F1 (Function First) Transmission Bushing Insert
Mark Levinson Speakers (from 08 LS460)
TechArt Rear Spoiler

Factory Porsche Upgrade List

OEM 964 Short Shift Kit
OEM Euro Side Lights (amber)
OEM Center Light
OEM Euro Rear Fog Light Switch
OEM Headlight Lenses
OEM Key and Key Head
OEM Gas Lid
OEM Windshield Washer Fluid Lid

Parts Ordered for Refurbishment and Maintenance

Used Front Differential with 70k Miles
2 OEM Pollen Filters
2 OEM Oil Filters
4 OEM Belts
12 OEM Spark Plugs
12 Beru OEM Plug Wires
11 Quarts of Mobile 1 V Twin 20w50
OEM Fuel Filter
OEM Oil Pan Bolt
OEM Crush Washer x2
OEM Passengers Side Window Switch

On Order:

Fister Stage II Exhaust
Black/Red Coco Mats
Rear Fog Light Mod w/OEM Switch

Thanks everyone for letting me be a part of your community. I appreciate it and I look forward to meeting some of you at events and gatherings. Here are a few pics of my car:

Please excuse the horrible lighting.

Yes definitely in the near future. Probably going to wait until the summer to do that since I just had an alignment done because of the front diff. install. After seeing that houndstooth interior in the blue car, it makes me want to do the red/black houndstooth in my car, so it would match my coco mats.

Yes, I keep forgetting to order those. It would help my front bumper a lot.

What are these door jamb covers you're talking about? My drivers door handle is a little loose and kinda hard to get it to shut flush sometimes. That may be why. Thanks.

Welcome! You mention that you've removed the stone guards, have you replaced them with new ones? If not I would strongly suggest that you do. They get beaten up by road debris quite easily especially with the wide hips on an S car. FD is a good source of those.

Congratulations!! Nice Car Matt!! Driver side exhaust tip looks like it could use being pushed back inboard just a little bit. Check on Ebay for the genuine Porsche 993 Mobil1 with part number 993.006.544.01 label as they will come available from time to time.

Welcome again.
Why new front dif?

This may have been mentioned, but I would get headlight covers to protect those new lenses and consider cover for windshield since it's new.

How about split grill? Btw, if you raise the spoiler you may have some scrapes and rust under right lower corner due to spoiler rubbing against the deck.

Matt,

She looks great!! The turbo scoops look awesome, and LED and HID lights from Tore are brighter and safer. Can't wait to see you lower her. Keep up the great work!!
