Default Best place to buy parts

Hi all,

I need to purchase a number of items for my 993 and want to purchase them from the US as the Australian prices are just over the top ridiculous here.

I now have a US postal address I can use which will save heaps on postage, but wanted to get an idea from you over there on who is best to use.

I have seen both Sunset and Pelican mentioned a fair bit. Are they the best to go with?

Appreciate any feedback fellow 993'ers.

Adam

Depends of course on what you want. Sunset has good prices on factory parts as they are a Porsche dealer. Pelican has a good website - I would compare the two. Also Rennsport systems and FD Motorsports have lots of great products with expert advice at no extra charge! There are dozens of others. If you have a specific item folks on this forum can make better suggestions.

Thanks Stace.

I am more looking for internal fittings. Buttons, *****, latches etc etc.

I generally use sunset as well, good pricing and no sales tax.

If youre looking for small pieces and dont mind used parts, try
Parts Heaven

Ive used them for a little this and that and had really good experience so far. Plus prices can be negotiated on some things.

+1 for the Parts Heaven group for used parts, and the price negotiation aspect. Again, these are used parts.

+1 for Sunset Imports, a Porsche dealer with great pricing and no sales tax!

Stay away from ebay on new OEM Porsche parts; so often they are asking 25% OVER RETAIL dealer pricing.

Thanks all for your feedback so far. Have started researching. Great to now be able to shop like a "local", so to speak.

From what I understand ECS Tuning can ship directly to Australia. They can source out OEM Porsche parts and I find their prices quite reasonable.

I just bought C63 mufflers for my E55 from a guy in Sydney. I paid him with an ECS gift card. He was happy as a clam. (Do you have that expression down under?)

+1 on ECS Tuning, I have bought OE Porsche and OEM Porsche parts from them. Their prices are sometimes cheaper than the above mentioned and sometimes more expensive. Their shipping options however are amound the best around.

If you are getting cheap shipping from your now 'local' us address, many places like Pelican and ECS will ship within the US for nothing. Look for deals
