Very beautiful day indeed. I was on the same route that day. I must have driven thru Piuma right before this happen. It was a fantastic day. Crisp clean air, perfect temperature, clear sky. The road wasn't wet but a few boulders had accumulated on the road from the past rain storm. I had to dodge a few. I wonder if that played into it. This hits me pretty deep. Knowing I was out there on the same road in the same car on the same day. Wow. Very Crazy. Hope you rest well fellow Rennlister. RIP. I'll say a prayer for you.

So sad...
Met him on many occasions staring with first 993 C&C gathering 3 years ago.
Nice and quiet fellow and I didn't know who he was at first but as he said that day, this was his first ever Porsche(993)...
He would always show up on our socal/OC getherings.
Can't believe he's gone at age of 22.
My sincere condolences to his family....

RIP Vince
Went to visit the site today to see what may have happened.
As 911F1 said, this one hits close to home cause I was also on that road earlier in the day and it happened on a route I routinely drive. Also, I've been 22 before and have been very fortunate.
Aaron, we've met on the mountain. Please keep me informed about any memorials. I know of a couple Facebook groups that want to remember this great kid and celebrate his life.
There are some pics in the site on my sig showing the turn.
My deepest condolences to the family. As a father, I can't imagine what they're going through.
Regardless of the reason, it's an unfortunate way to remember to take it to the track and always work to improve driver skill and safety education.

As with others on Rennlist, it is so sad to hear of this accident. Having noticed Rudy's inquiry, I pulled out several photos of his visit to the Bay Area. I did not personally meet Vince so I will leave it to others to identify him in the photos, if present. R.I.P Vince……..

I found out about it yesterday. Robert told me about the accident first and then I read on Face Book that it was one our guys. It is so sad when anyone passes away, but it a sadness multiplied many times when it is someone so young that still had their entire life in front of them.
RIP Vince.
My sincere sympathy to his entire family at this very difficult time.

I've been shut away the past few days studying for Biochemistry, but just found out today that Vince is gone.
He got me into 993's, and was unbelievably generous with his time and his cars, sharing them and giving me a taste of the aircooled world. Vince never got to see the 993 that I drove back from Brooklyn, as I had been too busy with classes and cycling to bring it around. I regret not making time for that now... I regret it unbelievably much. Reset in peace, buddy.
