You are probably the one of a few who can justify buying it on a cost basis. Sell a few of your 964 and 993s at today's price and still would have paid around $150-180k for it when it's all said and done.

You are right , but I'm not going to pay $350k for this car , this car was offered to me 6 weeks ago for $349k , I offer $250k and my offer is still open at $250k , another one will come by soon I can feel it coming

Really, all it is a run-of-the-mill 993TT, albeit with low miles. Sure it's nice , but personally, I don't think bubblegum blue warrants a $100K+ premium

Apparently this car has been repainted once but RB is it's factory colour. Hefty price tag but a rare car nontheless.

That makes a big difference in value if this is not original paint with this mileage..

Apparently not

Seriously though, some folks seem to have such a boner for blue 993s that I doubt it would.

At about $150K-$200K for any low-mile 993TT, people buying these kind of toys often have the kind of throwaway cash where value doesn't matter. If they want it, they buy it. Who cares about money or value?

Fact is, it is a rare and desirable color, and rich people often have more dollars than sense. There's a seat for every ***

[QUOTE=JPP;12283831 I'm pretty sure this one was purchased from Sloan in the past .. but grey interior, standard seats ... still rare and pretty but ...

Although listed as "sold" on his website, I wonder if Sloan sold that RB car, or if it was sold elsewhere? More importantly, I wonder if Sloan disclosed the unfortunate history on that car? I had the opportunity to purchase that car several years ago, but passed when I was presented with the sad background info.

True.

Yet someone already offered $250K for it. That's still a hefty, hefty premium for blue paint, not to mention a respray and possible damage.

The smart money is to take any 993TT, wrap it in Riv Blue skin for a few grand, then price it $25K+ more. Even if you tell them it's a wrap, the suckers will come running.

I've always contemplated a wrap in RB because I just love the color.

Now I'm more inclined to do a full stripped down repaint in RB. ROI in ten years or more might surpass the original delivery in GW.
