Ur gonna need a complete, engine out rebuild. That's what the dealer will tell you. If you don't want to pay for the rebuild, buy the duct, unscrew the three bolts and replace it.

Cool, I thought it was part of the cooling shroud and the engine had to come out and intake off. Is this a dealer only part? Thanks overboosted

Since the engine will be out you might as well rebuild the trans and throw in a new clutch.

Make a search on Fan Shroud. Only $50 and very easy to replace.

Be careful to buy the right part because older 993 (which doesn't seem your case) use the shroud part # that starts with 964.

Don't take the search comments too hard - this just happens to be a weekly recurring thread here on RL.

It's a DIY cheap and easy fix. Given the varioram you're sporting you want part # 993 106 403 00. here's a link for tjhe part, and link for the DIY.

How did this "just happen?"

Did you, or someone else, drop something on it?
