Sure, probably 40-50 times. But those cars were only worth $4-6K back then............

Maybe I should start from atop:

My friend purchased this vehicle that was in rougher condition in mid 2013 - but he had some stuff come up (house/wedding)... So he did offer it up to me if I wanted to buy it; and that's what I did..pretty much all my savings through my college years while studying and working, while staying out of debt......Both of us have/ had similar plans for this car so he didn't mind, and he knew I'd execute it....

On Valentines day 2014; I had myself a 993- my graduation gift to myself....
I've been following Nakai-San for the longest time and hence my IG username (@Rauhwelt).

He and I did tend to a few things on the car:

The car came with the grey leather seats; out came the Sparco's in went the OEM seats..(As the sparco's hit the roof)..

New headlights (check)...Nothing like fresh glass...
Out with the blown shocks and in with KW's =]....
Ooh and while we're at it some Hartmann's...

So then the came the maintenance.
The ground wire I guess decided to blow that went to the alternator...and it killed it with it..
New Alternator, New Battery,

New upper and lower valve cover gaskets and new lower valve covers.
New spark plug wires, new caps, new rotors....

And finally after killing a few more batteries (we realized the engine harness further upstream from the alternator wire shorted out)- so in went the new engine harness as well....
Which seems to have fixed the drain issues.

I once cut a hole in the roof of my then girlfriend's new car to install a sun roof. Used a provided template and it worked just great. However when I was finished with the jigsaw I did have a small case of the eb-gee-bees.

nice project
I've always wondered, what do you use to seal the cut so no rust?
and how do the wheel well liners fit without the former lip holding them in place?
