Who daily drives their 993 and for how long?

Three Wheelin'
Nope. Not any more. Car is worth too much to me and I can't find an agreed value insurance policy that supports my daily driver usage model.
If I could find the right insurance coverage (trust me, I've looked), I'd absolutely daily drive it year round.

Drifting
Year round for me. However, when we get the icy/wintery-mix here in Raleigh, I usually "work from home" and leave it in the garage. I average about 10k-11k miles per year.

Definitely year round. I've had the car almost 4 years now. Car had 68K miles when I bought it and 92K miles on it now, so about 6K miles/year.
Driving the 4S in the Minnesota snow with the appropriate snow tires is a treat that I look forward to every winter. The salt, not so much.

I PROMISE 13 miles is plenty to get up to temp and give the car a nice drive.
But yes, I should drive more. Thing is, in Los Angeles, I can get wherever faster on my bicycle, and the weather is always great.
The 993 is only for dates with my gal or loading up at the grocery store

Mine was daily driven by the previous owner since 2008 and by me for the last 2.5 years (20k miles from me and 142k total miles). It is our only car and we are keeping it that way. We don't get much snow here in Seattle though.

Daily driver since the day I bought it in August of 2006.
Drove from SF Bay Area to Montreal, QC - and back - in 2008.
Driven from SF Bay Area to L.A. - and back - several times.
Although, I am about 9 months away from retiring it from DD duty - at which point I will have owned the car 10 years, it will be 20 years old, and it will have about 160,000 miles (about 90,000 on the rebuilt engine).
Likely DD replacement: Cayman S, 996 C4S (flame suit on) or S4 Avant.

Mine has been a daily driver since the day I got it in 2002. That was 75,000+ miles ago. I have dedicated wheels and snows for the winter.
Annual mileage has dipped to about 4k now that I'm semi-retired and do consulting work from home. At this rate, losing ground in the attempt to catch up to the 314k miles (and counting) that Rich has driven.

Riviera Blue '98 C2S
I have been driving my '98 Riviera Blue C2S every day for 2-1/2 years. The "Blue Streak" has become a well known Porsche icon in south Florida. I love it. It's been a joy to own, drive and remains very reliable.
