I am interested to know who among the members here daily drives their 993 and for how long

I dont drive every day, but my 993 is my only car.

I take it out a few days a week, and put around 1K-2K miles on it per year.

It's a great daily driver, in my opinion.

Driven daily from April 1 to October 31 but I can't subject it to the salty roads here in the frozen north during the winter months!

Daily here, 5 days/week, about 35mi round trip, but for about 9.5 months/year. Oh, and since 2001.
Love it ...wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I used to drive it daily from April through Dec, about 80 miles/day.

Now I drive it 2-3 days a week, 45 miles round trip from April through Dec. The only thing that keeps me from driving it more is that I have pretty crappy parking at my office or I need to drive others.

Add in an occasional drive from MA to NJ.

when i bought my car i daily drove it for 18months and put over 10k on it.... not one problem.

I don't. Both are cars I use for fun.

Said another way, who uses a twenty year old car as a daily driver? That is really an interesting testament to these vehicles...

Goofball, at 2k miles spread over 3 days/week, that's only 13 miles - takes nearly that to get up to temp...

I PROMISE 13 miles is plenty to get up to temp and give the car a nice drive.

But yes, I should drive more. Thing is, in Los Angeles, I can get wherever faster on my bicycle, and the weather is always great.

The 993 is only for dates with my gal or loading up at the grocery store

I drive mine once in a while, ~16,500 miles/year, for the past 19 years. I only use it between January 1 and December 31. The rest of the time it's parked in my garage. Someday it may need some work on the engine and transmission.
