Just bought my 993, although it is more of a long term project car than the one you are looking at.

PPI List
During the PPI you may want to add some 993 specific items to your list. Here is a draft list you may find helpful.

Buy it and enjoy it!
Don't get too hung up on all the mechanical things that *could* go wrong or *might* need replacing. Andy's (pp000830) PPI item list is exhaustive, to say the least, and if you look at every last detail on a 20 year old car, you're going to find stuff that could use some TLC - but you'll find that on any 20 year old car.
I had a super-crappy, nearly pointless PPI done on my car, bought it, discovered Rennlist, learned about all the stuff that I should have done, and modifications that I absolutely needed to make, worried about all that for a year or two, and then realized that the car drives fine as is, I enjoy the hell out of it, and I'll just deal with stuff as they come up during my annual visits to my mechanic.
If you like the car, it doesn't have any gross defects, passes the smell test, then buy it, enjoy it, and start saving some money up for any repairs that you *might* need down the road. Don't let the helpful but obsessive (I mean this in the best possible way, guys!) folks on Rennlist chase you away from a car that you like.

Drifting
The car looks to be in decent cosmetic shape with some styling, suspension, and stereo upgrades that hopefully were well done. I too think the price is high given the miles, but I don't have my figure on the pulse of the current market.
Whether or not the price is appropriate within the market aside, does the price work for you? Expect to invest a few thousand $ into the car within the first couple of years to get it *right* for your needs. There are basics like new brake pads and rotors and oil change services with ~11 quarts of synthetic performance oil that might surprise you by how expensive they are, if haven't owned a Porsche before. Then there is **** that breaks or wears out with time and/or use. For example, I would certainly expect that the steering rack will need some TLC in the near future if it was never addressed by a prior owner.
The point being be sure you are budgeting to leave some money in your reserves for repairs and upgrades. Good luck!

Love 993's and have owned a couple. But a 75k mile car for $60k is no bargain in my book. I don't see how this market is sustainable but what do I know. With the stock market in virtual free fall I have to think this market is ripe for the popping.

Your going to get a lot of different opinions but only yours matter.
If it's the car of your dreams then buy it. You can always make the perfect later and have fun doing it. I wouldn't put a price on something you love and a hobby that keeps you busy.
You can have 10 shops do a PPI inspection and get 10 different reports varying. It's a good idea to have one done to make sure the structure is sound and hasn't been in an accident and repaired poorly. Everything else can be changed or fixed.
I think everyone here dumps more into them to make them perfect then there worth at some point in the cars life..........GO for it

$60,000 for a C2 seems a lot for 75k miles, but that may be the market today.
$150 is not the inspection you want - that's about 1 hour of looking around trying *****. You will spend probably $500 for a proper PPI with compression and leak-down. I would never buy a car, whether 25k or 75k miles without knowing whether there's a problem that will cost $10,000 to fix. In the past 3 years I'm going to guess that I had a refundable deposit on 4 cars where the seller was responsible for the cost of the PPI -IF- the inspection didn't check out. Meaning, they advertised the car as "needing nothing" and we agreed on a price. But my contract has protection for me. So all 4 went to a good shop (3 independents and 1 dealer) and none of the 4 checked out. Each needed between $3,500 and $10,000 to remedy and so I got out of each, took my deposit back (electronic so I was protected), and the sellers all paid the bill to retrieve their car but at least then knew what they had, not what they hoped to sell.
Be careful...

Looks to be a very clean and nicely optioned car. The price, however, is just a few thousand less than what I paid for my zenith C2S last Fall. For that kind of money I would want to go wide.

Three Wheelin'
Don't PPI it at a Porsche dealer. Make sure to find a independent Air-cooled specialist. $150 is basic look-over as stated above. A thorough PPI is going to run you $400-$500.

Wanted to give everyone an update. I decided against this car as I found one I like much better. I don't know how i missed these guys but Willhoit Enterprise out of Springfield MO has a car that caught my eye. I came across them as he had 97 C2S for sale for 79k with 55k miles. Of course by the time I called him that car was sold. Anyway, after speaking with Michael for a few minutes he suggested I take a look at this car he has for sale. http://www.willhoitenterprises.com/car643.html. The asking price on the webpage is wrong. He offered the car to me for about the same price as 75k miles car I was looking at from Inter Sport Performance. This baby only has 34k miles on it after reviewing all the service records, photos, carfax and the 40,000 mile difference with a price tag of $64k made sense to me. for only $4k more, it would be silly not to go with his car. Also, I kinda like the red interior. The big rear wing, well little over kill for my taste, but an easy fix.. I know the red interior its not everyone cup of tea, but I think it is unique. Michael seems like a straight up guy and he offers a 100% money back guaranty. I'l try to upload some of the additional photos he send me. I think its a great buy and I guess, that is all that matter.
