I don't think the events were connected but who knows the reason. I'd try to avoid bad press if I crashed with a member of the media in my car too.

The dude effectively totaled #277 during the last week in August and had it entirely rebuilt (including recreated patina) in less than a month to have it out on display at Rennsport Reunion V. Props to however put in the sweat equity to make that happen.

"Recreated patina" doesn't sound particularly sporting. I thought he was all about "earning" patina.
