Default Question regarding alleged 993 Turbo seats

Can anyone verify that these seats are originally from Porsche, or not.

The seller says that they come from a 1996 993 Turbo.

Have been looking at Google Pictures all night and can't find any similar anywhere...

Thanks
Mike

Looks like the only thing that may have come from a Porsche or is in any way similar to a Porsche part is the belt buckle... And even that's questionable.

Looks like Recaro Orthopaedic seats. Not factory in any Porsche that I'm aware of, though they may have "come from a 1996 993 Turbo", they weren't the original seats.

Not an expert, but would be willing to bet (any amount) those are not "Porsche" seats. maybe he meant, a 93 MR2 Turbo (-:

Default Sorry, just got to wake this one up again....

When browsing the "interweb" as Mr Rawling describes it, I came up with this picture....

Please assist me, is it from a aftermarket fitted 964 or what?

They are not 100% the same, but the buttons on the side are remarkable look alike - dont you think?

anyone?

Cheers
Mike

This appears to be an MFI or SC, can't quite tell the dashboard, it's too grainy. And yes, the interior looks to have been "upgraded."

Got a boost gauge there in the tach--so 930, real or built.

I remember them from the Recaro catalogs of 30-35 years ago, but never had a customer car with them. Ultimate complement? One of those Blaupunkt stalk audio units.

You use the term " upgraded" loosly.

Pretty sure it was meant tongue in cheek.

That looks to be the ex 930S/flat nose of Porsche Cars Great Britain. The car was silver with red interior (obviously) and featured in a few magazine articles including a cover story for CAR.

This appears to be a picture of Lucifer's car. Apparently His Darkness prefers Recaros. In an appropriate hue, of course.
