If you want a good excuse to cruise down to the Central Coast, get thee to Vintage Auto in San Luis Obispo, CA, and talk to the owner Rob Grant. He is a Porsche he guy, drives a 993 S, in flawless shape. The work that comes out of his shop, flawless.......bring him a good bottle of wine, and I mean good...that will get his attention. Call for a appointment, it goes without sayin. His paint and workmanship are guaranteed for life. He uses Glasurit paint too.

to be serious, to fix a door strap issue on an air cooled sled hardly requires a 'guru'

+1. Welder must know what he is doing though. Too low of a temp, the metal will not bond well. Too hot temp melts the metal around.
