Default CHEVY 993? Yes its happening

Hey guys new to rennlist, been reffered here by one of my customers thats has a few porsches. Im building a unique project so I thought to share and get ideas from some fellow enthusiasts.

I know this isn't uncommon but time to put a v8 in my porsche

I have a 1975 Carrera that is rebodied 1 for 1 to a late 90's turbo 993
I picked her up for with the conversion and am in the process of taking her apart inside out to rebuild the way I want it done.

Check out some of the progress I made and feel free to recommend or give any advice! Im no professional or mechanic just went to an ASE program for a few years and fell out to open my own business in Liquid wraps for cars. Check me out on instagram @laplasticdip

Here she is.

LOL! The conversion looks like they went the extra mile to get some of the details correct (wipers are close together like on the 993). I'd love to know how big the spacers are on those wheels though. Better stock up on wheel bearings!!!

getting rid of the wheel and suspension set up as soon as I get the car running again, the wheel gap is so gross

Raft of 993 (and other air cooled P-cars) thefts in Southern CA. over the past 2-3 years. Thought it would be ideal to stage a car for the thieves (always by tow truck) and nab them in the act. Here is one of MANY threads on this subject. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...s-angeles.html

Damn thats crazy, my little z3 almost got stolen in front of my house too last year luckily my neighbor caught them in the act and they ran, was at 3 am lol. This car will definitely have low jack, plus if anyone attempts they can always meet my .556

if it weren't for the torsion bar hole giving you away, i'd say you'd almost have it.

enjoy your v8

Considering a '75 Carrera (SN 91154XXXXX) is pushing, if not the best of blowing past, $100K.........not sure I wouldn't be looking to revert back to stock.

While IF a '75 Carrera, it might not be the Duke Of Irrelevance.........but similar done to a '73 RS would be saving the Queen (or King).

(I once did a '67 S into a near 935. And my '68 into a fake RSR, wherever it might be now, would also be something worth bringing back to stock. But what did we know back then?)
