What's first up for a 'new to me' 993?
#3
Tear into it. Change all fluids. Plugs. And go over all the mechanicals. Then drive again... A lot. I bought a clapped out 993 and have been slowly bringing it back to life and loving every minute of it.

RWB bro!
Before anything:
1. Make sure maintenance is up to date..
2. Drive it
I regret jumping into mods too fast. I "only" enjoyed my car bone stock for a part of the first season I had it. In hindsight, I would've held off a bit to get a far better gauge at what I should be "improving"...
Once you're ready to mod this is the order I would go in:
1 Proper Tires
2 Suspension
3 Exhaust (Fister 2 or 3)
4 PCA or reputable Driver Education

Congrats on the new car!
As others mentioned - drive it and enjoy to start!
I picked up a 993 about a year ago and the mods I thought were best were:
* Golden Rod -- improved the precision of shifting significantly
* Suspension - Bilstein with proper alignment and tires
* Exhaust - I went with the Fabspeed x-pipe and sport cat which I am pleased with
But mostly, get out and drive it!

Thank you! Firstly I really love how that Fister III sounds and all the suggestions!
I own a low miler 964 but I'm not a rich man so sadly first task is probably to move it on The 993 was picked up yesterday and I think I got a good deal on it. It has higher miles which is fine by me as the motors are tough.
These are very rare cars up here and I am a lucky lucky man (especially with what I make) to own both at the same time! I need to figure out a way to keep both, hmmm. I do all of my own work on them so in that respect that's not a worry.
