Hi gang - may I ask - is anyone familiar with caliper rebuilding services? What do these guys normally charge and is there one usually local to Northern California?

I think Wheel Dynamics offer caliper refinishing for 150 each, but I'm not too sure about rebuilding. They're in SoCal

Centric in LA sells remanufactured calipers. The owners are involved in racing. You can call their customer service number and probably arrange to send your calipers to them directly to be rebuilt. They are both manufacturer and a remanufacturer of wheel and brake related components. They have internal engineering and run a tight ship. I suspect due to their volume they can give you quick turn-around. http://www.centricparts.com/products/calipers

Yes, we only offer refinishing services which is best if done before any rebuilding is done. Currently through 2016 the rates are $150 each caliper.

Rebuilding and refinishing brake calipers is not a difficult DIY. Its rewarding, and provides a fun hands on in the fall and winter months.
My black calipers will soon be rebuilt and refinished in VHT, high temp speed yellow caliper paint, with black porsche stickers, and finished with the VHT, high temp caliper clear coat.
I' ll post before and after photos upon completion.

I'd be interested in a NorCal recommendation too. I'll probably replace the seals and boots myself, but would like to find a refinisher at a reasonable price. I've found a couple options around Santa Clara, but hearing someone else's success story would be great.
Nine9six, that's definitely an option too, post your results!

PMB was about $200/caliper for rebuild + refinish. I haven't used them yet, but they are advertisers in the PCA mag.

I'm looking to rebuild and refinish my calipers too. What do you guys use to cap off the brake lines when the calipers are off the car? I did a search but didn't see anything come up.
