Need brake clearance help
Would any of the 993 (non S, non turbo version) owners on here happen to have a 6X16 D90 Wheel (std 964 fitment) that they could try on the front of their car?
I am about to fit front 993 hub carriers, calipers and discs, but my caclulations tell me I might have a clearance issue between the caliper and the rim face.
Before I plunk for discs, I would like to know whether it actually all fits together.
I'd be grateful if someone could try.

Let us know where you are and you can find a local RL'er to try your wheel on their car. Far more likely to occur than for 993'er to have a 964 wheel on their cars, I'd guess.

You might consider posting your plan on the RL 964 board and/or the Pelican board. There may be someone over there who has already attempted to do what you plan to do.
If not, and you can find someone in Northeast Georgia with a 964 that has that wheel fitment and is willing to work with you, I can get with them and see how it works on my NB 993.
Regards,

nine96, not too difficult to find good tires in 16". Porsche has 4 or 5 recommended on their list.

Not for local inspection. And I'd rather have it right.
I have no qualms about returning to the original setup but I happen to have 993 A-arms, balljoints and uprights on the shelves along with the calipers, so would like to check whether the whole 993 setup allows use of the std 6X16 D90. If not, I'll return to stock.
