Great report; brings back delivery trip memories.

The frost was a nice touch.

Drive it home IF it has all season tires; if temps dip below freezing summer tires are reallly squerely. I found that out the hard way with my car in Chicago. So, check the weather forecasts before deciding....or put all seasons on it which will allow you to drive in cold weather as long as road salt is not evident.

I have driven the southern route from Chicago to Idaho a number of times. It's a boring drive through boring country; but, will allow you wring out car, learn its idiosyncrasies, and gain confidence.

If you are not going to encounter any snow and icy roads, I say drive it. You will get a true experience of why 993s have appreciated so much in value.

What a great trip. I'm so glad I didn't ship it!

Wow, feels so good to be back in a P car. This 4th one is my best one yet.
Great story! Im in Centerville Ohio. I was out of the country last week and got home and saw this. Looks like a blast. We will need to get together some time and talk cars!
