Default New to me RUF Turbo R 993

Hey guys,

Not new to the forum but don’t post a lot. New to the 993 platform tho! Bought this car from Boardwalk Ferrari with 17k miles and already put 1k miles on it in 2 months of ownership. Loving it!! Came with the Turbo R 490hp package as well as RUF suspension completed circa 2003.

Rookie question… how important is it to keep the original clear bra in place on the rear quarter panel. I’d like to replace it and wraps the entire car in PPF, but don’t want to do something I shouldn’t by removing that original factory ppf. Let me know!

Plans are to finish it out with proper RUF bumpers/wheels/race buckets!

And here’s a couple pics I just had done for your viewing pleasure

I don’t think clear bra that’s ageing matters. Just replace it, no big deal. I wrapped my whole car then added that clear rear part back on, the one in front of the rear arches.

Ruf bumpers are unobtainium. Good luck in your search.

Bumpers are back in stock at Pfaffenhausen with the exception of narrow body rear bumper. They changed the material of the front or rear bumper - can't remember.

Nice car. I would contact RStrada about bumpers. Front bumpers are easy to get (proceed in CF now) but rear bumpers are not being produced. RStrada might have one. I recently had the exterior conversion done. Bumpers through RStrada. Wheels straight from Ruf Germany.

I remember seeing this car at PCA events in Dallas. Have Stuarts do the paint work and install. The bumpers take some work and they recently finished my car.

PM member M32. He's in Houston and has an authentic RUF front bumper he's considering selling. This would be your best bet.
