Just wondering what kind of fuel economy folks are getting with their 993 turbos. I'm getting about 11.5 with city/hwy driving. I get the rpm's up occasionally, but not often. I don't think there's a problem, just wondering.

Thanks for the info.

Average 15 mpUSg with non corn juice 91 octane. Booting it in rally with A/C on can go as low as 9. Cruising at 72 mph in 6th on flat highway, no A/C, as high as 26 mpg. Touch the go pedal, turbos kick in, kiss that goodbye. 10% to 15% lower mileage with 94 octane 10% corn juice.

I don't think 11.5 is unheard of, I'm sort of a mix between that and 15 mpg. So let's say average in 12-13 mpg. Are you also calculating based on the actual miles driven + gas put into the tank? I really don't trust the OBC and a bit off topic - sometimes the fuel gauge itself is quite strange too - meaning I can at times drop 1/4 from full after driving a very small distance. The the needle drops slowly till half and then fast again below half.

Have to believe in a a manual, many numbers are possible as ronnie993tt shared. 11.5 is on the low side.

I calculated mine a few years back and got 7-8mpg.
3.8L, big turbos and bigger injectors. Weekend toy only so none of that is commuting. Regularly on boost when driven. After calculating such an abysmal mpg, I stopped measuring....

So 15 and 25 seems about average. Quite high considering age and power.

Just fed the beast. Don't drive it enough to worry about MPG
