Default 75K for a 96 TT w/46K miles

nice car, Polar silver, back supple leather. some other light options. massively expensive aftermarket stereo that can be removed easisly (install was suspect) but there was a bunch of stuff in there.

75K is in the ball park - right?
i'm just starting to look right now.

75K is 8-10K too high for a 96 with that many miles.

I wish that I got 75K for my 96 with 36K miles.

I think your price is too high, probably more like 65K range.

I agree. alhtough prices are going up that is still 10K too high. I hope that is a dealer or its a private owner smoking some good stuff.

Rob,
That is too high IMHO. I know prices can be higher on the left coast though. FYI - I paid 65K 3 months ago from my dealer for a 96 with 48K miles. The car had a 2 year Porsche warranty. I have since had 1st through 4th synchros replaced under warranty and put a new clutch and flywheel in at my expense (1K). As of today I'm in the car for 66K............plus the Fikse's....plus the PSS-9 kit....plus the HP Plus brakes....plus the Stainless brake lines.....plus the harnesses.....and down the slope I go.......

There are guys out there who thought I was overpriced at $68k to $72k for selling a 1996 993tt with original 21k miles.

Funny, I just got home from the lake hopeful that a certain someone sent me a email about a certain tt over the weekend. I see an email w/subject matter about a tt 4 sale. Hoping its info about a car I seek, I read an ad that was sent to me about a car thats become available with over 40k in mileage and they want $75k for it. First thing that comes to mind is "are they smoking crack at that dealership".

Later I see your post and your located in the same area where my email was sent from..... it has to be the same car. If your buying that car ask them if you get a jar of vasaline with it too!

funny stuff - not buying the car - that is for sure - just a first forray into the turbo market.
Also while i was going through the receipts i found a recent one from a local speed shop (the semi poser one here) for the de-install of seats, JRZ suspension, etc. so i bet the car was tracked.
orignaly i was looking for a C4S but the price delta is very small for the turbo and frankly seems a better deal. maintiance is not really an issue, as i am more than understand the increased maintiance of a race car. the turbo should be cheap . something about not having to do a full service afterevery race, etc.
i agree they are smoking some - i am going to start looking in Reno and LA (where i am frequently)
