Turbo S at play
Hi guys and gals...
here is my 97 Turbo S spec at play on a recent track day. New Dunlop Rspecs and track wheels are Simmons. GT3 seats installed but otherwise standard.

Hi Grant
as a 6'2" expat trying to get more clearance with my GT3 seats, what brackets / runners are you using ? Or are you shorter than the average OZ ?
cheers, Maurice

Hi Maurice.........if you look closely at a few of the pics you will notice the drivers seat sits lower than that passenger one........the drivers seat is bolted to the floor using some fabricated mounts from a local porsche specialist. The seat has no movement in any direction. It is as low as I can get it but sometimes my helmet will still rub the roof lining......Im the same height as you!

Hi Guys,
Urban.....yep....well on my way to sorting the history of the car. Will let you know when I have confirmation of my current theory!
WHB......the white 997 GT3 and the silver/orange 997 GT3RS in the pics kicked my little blue butt. I did manage to hold off the black Lotus and a few others including a very very hot RS4 Audi. I am still sorting the car and we mucked about with camber for this event. I have a great crew looking after the car and they understand the balance between not ruining the originality of the car and yet building something that is fast and FUN! On this track, Oran Park GP circuit, I sat on 1.24 laps consistently whilst the quick GT3's and GT2's were doing 1.17 to 1.19. I did get a 1.22 and a 1.23 with a clear track in the afternoon so Im happy. One of our Rennlisters, Boost Crazy, did a 1.17 in his 993 turbo......yep he did and as usual Simon was spitting flames as he did it!
