Default How important is color?

I've been passively looking for a 993TT in Silver and recently came accross one in black (97 model with 60K mile for low $50s). I passed on it becuase of color. I realize this is subjective, but would you hold out for the color combo you like best or would you compromise for the right price?

Hold out for the color of choice...unless you don't plan on keeping the car. For resale color is very important...some colors sell really quickly others seem to take longer to sell. When I bought my car it was my dream car and I certainly did not want to compromise on colour!

And we both know that black's the fastest colour out there anyway, eh?

I agree.... color is definitely important. I held out for over a year before I found one that really was unique. Silver and black is awesome on a 993tt not to mention most cars, but unfortunately is a lot more commonplace. It is nice to have a color that is not the norm.

I agree with the above... you get to look at your 993 everyday... it should make your socks roll up and down each time. That said, I've never seen a 993 color that I didn't like... some I just like better than others.

Color is definitely first on my list. I sold my black one to buy my Guard red cause it was my#1 choice.

Correct. It was the one on Ebay. I reckon it went for $53-54K.

Barney, looks stunning. One man's meat is another man's poison.
I think colour choice is number 1 on the list. If you set your heart on a silver car, buying any other colour just won't be the same. I've always liked the 993TT in silver but when I started looking for GT2's I decided silver was not the best choice, so midnight blue or black became the preffered. When I heard about my one in Ocean Blue Metallic I thought oh no. I had seen a 993 targa in this colour (turned out that it was Ocean Green Metallic). When I saw it for the first time with the sun shining on the **** end I was stunned. Definately the best colour in the world (imo anyway) and would look equally as fantastic on a 993TT. Anyone on here have a TT in this colour ?.

Hold out for the correct colour. If you don't feel great every time you look at it, you'll have missed something.
