Yes, but it is my understanding that you can now get them in under "Show and Display" category....the Gates Bill deal. Can't run a lot of miles on them a year, but it is possible. I'm still looking to get a CTR in the country and that's how it'd come in...

Thanks for posting the pics. Porschemeister, that is an amesome car, replica or not. Other than not having the repeaters on the front fenders (which looks better IMO) and different ducts in the front (like a lot of "real" GT2's) I wouldn't have suspected a thing. IMO what you've created is a fantastic way to enjoy a legendary/iconic car. After all, how many PERFECT GT2's remain and if you found one could you bring yourself to use it?
I need to be alone for a while now.

the "donor car"
ran across this pic of the 993GT2 we raced at the 24h Daytona in 1995 where the doors, suspension, thin glass and various body parts came from (serial # 061 first 993GT2 built).
Finished 4th overall, 2nd in class.
Enjoy!

Car is still around:
We changed the doors and hood to fiberglass and CF, front nose was upgraded to GT2Evo and glass replaced by plexiglass.
Car was sold to a collector in 97. Can't remember his name. Finally put the take of parts to good use
