People tried to race me a lot more in my 993... I haven't had anyone want to race me in my RUF... except for my friend in his CGT.

Pass left (with purpose), drive right. Love holding back on cloverleafs and then merging with purpose.....
You too? Can't even go a mile without some Prius from Berkeley or the Oakland Hills wanting to challenge me in my little smart..........

I don't have that problem here. The other drivers are too busy giving the ******* sign to me out there window. Either that or the single finger salute.
I never race them anyway. Not worth losing the licence over.

Hey Tony,

I had a guy in a Vette try to run me on the way home that day. Had a kid in a hopped up Mustang try to bait me for about 5 miles one time. Both incidents in the CGT. I've never had anyone bother me in the 993tt.

I was gassing up the night before a track event and a kid in a Mustang asked if I wanted to race. I said I'd be available at the track all the next day. He never showed.

We have two Smarts, both Brabus 42 Cabs, an 03 and an 08. In the uk you do tend to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. That aside when I drive the other halfs 993C2S I am amazed how many tw*ts become glued to its backside. Yet with the 993GT2 this rarely happens. I don't believe it is because they know what it is, I just reckon they think it's some chaved up 911, so being unsure they stay clear. Only on one occasion did I have two silly boys playing silly bu**ers. A 996 C2 and a 997 C4S cab. Whilst in an average speed 50mph camera zone they where rather annoying. Once we cleared the road works I dissappeared. Thankfully no police around.

I'm still on the list for the new Brabus model, but they cannot guarantee availability as of right now. If it actually shows up I'll probably sell mine and buy the Brabus....

Thought about getting in the queue for a Brabus (replacement / upgrade), as I could easily resell my current smart Passion to multiple friends, but when I heard it was only Brabus body parts on the US bound cars, I was hoping for a little more HP like the Europe version.

Guess I'll have to just make due with the 400HP+ from the 993TT

In an ideal world I would like to stick the new engine gearbox assembly into the old Brabus. The electrical complications would be a nightmare. Overall it is a much better drive than the old car but in truth there's quite a lot about it that I don't like. Just to name one is that it gets quite unstable at high speed. You get a lot of wind noise off the front of the cab roof at 80 plus and then the car looses its stability from the front end.

i always get a few folks that want to race;however, my best story is about a young couple in a vw jetta that wanted to trade cars while I was at a stoplight. The gentleman's girlfriend/wife was quite attractive...so I casually responded sure I'll trade but only if i get the girlfriend/wife (no idea which). The gentleman said sure no problem and I just laughed while the woman ripped into her man while the light changed.
