Default Market Value: 97 TT

Looking for input on the current market value of the following:

97 993TT
18K miles
2 owners
no paintwork / accidents / stories
no sport seats
moderatly optioned
no modifications
without disclosing the specific car, the color combination is fairly standard -non-polarizing (it's not SY, Turquoise etc)

Much appreciated!
Bob

I would say 84 - 89k from a non-dealer and clean PPI depending upon the maintenance history and available service records. SY is polarizing?

I'd say that's about right for a US sourced car. Add $5K to $10K for car already in Canada...................and of course another $5K if it's metallic black! GLWP Bob.

If 84-89 from private seller, then how much it would sell at dealer!

They usually add 10k on top of private acquisition - makes it 94-99k at dealer!!

Dealers, at least the dealers that remain in business, do not purchase these cars at private party values. They get them on trade or purchase them from individuals who don't really know what they have.

Premier recently had a black/black 97 with 14k miles and an asking price of $99k. I don't know what it sold for, but it did not last long, so probably no lower than $95k.

Good to see the good ol TT is still holding up in values. I see they are still and arm and a leg in the UK. Here they are so rarely for sale they would also fetch good money.
SY would have to have a small premium on the price though.

Thanks for the replies. My gut was telling me mid-70's so I may be a little light based on opinions so far.

In a private sale, with a motivated seller, and a motivated buyer (you) who can close with little to no issues, you may be able to make it happen.

For example, if Willhoit buys a Turbo for mid $70's and then lists it for $85-89. Happens every day, right??

Bob

I think mid to high 70's is bang on. This may skew slightly upwards given the fact we're heading into spring car buying fever.

As a single data point, Wilhoit has had a Polar silver '96 with 19,000 miles on his website since (?last fall) listed at $84,900 that hasn't moved.

A second data point would be the vehicle Jamie has listed here (metallic black/boxster red) which has lower mileage (13,000), is well documented, and he wants around 85k. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...997-993tt.html

It's all about condition, mileage, usage, documentation and who is the more motivated. The prices on these cars is certainly back on the upwards swing for true mint condition low mileage samples but there are some real deals every so often and lets keep in mind that regardless of the condition a few thousand should be set aside for new rubber and a thorough tune up with fluid replacement.

Geographical location, also plays good deal in how much a car goes for!!

Couple years ago, 1997 TT, Blk/Blk, "1-owner", 15k miles, was on sale (at showroom) by MO Jaguar/Range Rover dealer - asking $75K. Within 24hrs of online listing, sold to west coast for $72k!!
