Hey guys, wondering what kind of oil burnoff you guys have?

To keep this somewhat scientific:

1. Mileage
2. Oil type/weight used
3. amt. burned every 3k miles

Me:

1. 83,300
2. m1 vtwin 20w/50
3. between .75 and 1.25 quarts per 3k miles.

I have my mechanic change the oil and notice that right after every change, the oil level goes up most of the twisted section of the dipstick. After 1500 miles or so, it settles right in the middle of the twisted section till it gets changed again.

Basal Skull

2) synthetic mixture 15-50? (home made ...)
3) change oil too frequently to tell if I consume any, virtually nil I think.

3. Zero consumption!. no change in dipstick reading nor dash guage.

3. It depends on what type of driving I do. The car tend to use some oil on hard track days. If I only used the car on the street it would use almost nothing between oil changes at 3k miles a year.
