OK it sucks for him that his car was stolen but the lawsuit is ridiculous. Maybe he should have worked with the insurance company to make sure if was insured for the correct value like a smart person and not claim like a moron it was worth 400k and somehow the dealer is liable because it was parked outside. I hope this guy loses out on this, no sympathy here. I guess if you're a billionaire you handle things differently.

His reasoning may be based more on principle than the actual car. Some dealers can be real a-holes when owning up to their mistakes. I applaud him for going after some morons who left his car outside...to be STOLEN. I bet if he wins his case, it will be the last customer car that gets left outside or the last RARE customer car that gets left outside..more power to the owner..

Billionaire or not, I would be through the roof! He has every right taking this idiotic dealer to court. The car is a RARE Turbo S..as to how this particular car was optioned who knows. Can it be worth $400K? Have you ever priced out some of Porsche's Exclusive options?...can be ridicoulous. Keep in mind when money is not a factor, Porsche will do just about anything you want(at least they did back then).

Inside Job?
Ok, not a conspiracy theorist, But I now a Dealer who got a good deal on a pair of Air Cooled's, One being a 930, Dealership had locking gates, 930 disappeared later, car had easy alarm to break, but how did they get out the gates.
Your in LA, come on? I suppose a Car thief saw it from the Bus Stop? I'd see if any Employee goes on a spending spree

Hmmm. Seems like an odd coincidence that this ad was placed on the Pelican site on May 17th:
