Default BBS LM Fitment

Hi All,

Planning to buy BBS LM for my 993TT.

Can some one advise me on what size i should go with?

8x19 and 10x18 or 11x18? how about ET?

And then what tire sizes should i go with?

thank you.

" e aho laula" wider is better. 18" X 9" fronts and 18" X 12" IMHO.

BBS LM's are two piece wheels and onlycome in limited size/offsets. They don't come in 18x12" afaik, widest are 18x11". Unfortunately they also come in NB offsets and need spacers for the rears or they need to be reverse mounted. Mine are I believe 18x8 offset 50 in front and 18x11 et56 in the rear. I had 23mm spacers in the rear but reverse mounted mine so the offset without spacers came out to be 40ish which look good on the wide body. There's a thread somewhere, let me see if I can find it.

My BBS E88s were rebuilt with 12 inch rims and it rubs. If you want to run 315 rears then that would be the way to go and roll fenders. Otherwise stick with 11" rears and run 295 instead.

Many seem to inquire what reverse mount means, look at the comparo from Nick's thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/8498710-post1.html

You are going to have issues getting the front sizes (8.5x18), BBS production has been limited for quite some time now, maybe check and post an updated too.

http://www.bbs-usa.com/road-wheels-d...fm?CLID=6&WF=7

Go with the sizes basal recommended 8 x 18, but these will have to be used as they are NLA. Def be challenging as there are many folks on the 993 forum looking for LMs too! These are also the same as mine + Nick's old BBS wheels that are now on AMGFAN's polar silver TT.

Reverse mount is def the way to go!

A bit off topic, have you ever run the LMs reverse mounted on the track?

Street use I'm sure they are safe, but under continuous hard use I'm curious if it's too much stress on the bolts causing possibly a safety issue. Of course this has been brought up by BBS as the wheels were not intended to be used this way.

I haven't run them on the track... I was going to and had track tires mounted, but got the forgelines and had switched the tires off the lms onto the forgelines. They are heavier than the fiske or the forgelines. Didn't think too much about the stress since the fit/lips seemed virtually identical whether reverse mounted or not, but good point, I guess use at own risk, i'll need to inspect once in a while.

I don't think you will be able to reverse mount 18 x 8.5 (assuming these are et 56), this will be quite aggressive on the front. It may work, just no one has done this that I've seen on RL.

I would hold out for 18 x 11 et 56, this is a much better fit for WBs.

Hi Guys,

I found one locally BBS LM Japan spec:
F: 18x8.5 ET56
R: 18x10 ET65 including a H&R spacer for WB.

Would this fit 993TT? He was saying that its made for a 993 but NB.

Again, thank you for any feedback in advance! Getting close to finding it!
