Hi OG~yes they were. I haven't seen him around much lately, but he reworked the stock mufflers for quite a few of us.

I’m pleased to say that my car was picked up on Friday by a Rennlister. This transaction was a complete pleasure as was my meeting one of our fellow enthusiasts. I hated to see the car driven of from my garage by a new friend~a sentiment repeated often here on the boards….however, I feel I’ve expanded my circle of wonderful acquaintances and hope he enjoys the car as much as I did.

Respecting his privacy, I imagine he will pop it to say hi with the new (to him) car once he returns home.

What a fine place this is….

We've just arrived back home in the Banana Republic aka Miami. Flew into Santa Ana Friday mid-day and met Bill shortly after. He and his car were everything I expected. Immaculate car, house etc. After a test drive and walk around a few times we parted ways and I could see that Bill really loved the car as much as we now did. The service history, manuals, books and overall condition of the car are incredible, a true custodian vs. an owner.

Friday was kind of rough with the travel so we just stayed local for the most part enjoying the car around the Newport/ Laguna area. Saturday morning came quickly and I was off to the Irvine Cars and Coffee which had a great early turnout as usual. Sunday was awesome as we drove down to the San Diego Zoo for the day to make some new four legged friends. The trip up and down the 5 was a testament to the cars condition as many thumbsup came our way. Its amazing how many people can relate to the classic 911 shape. Kind of like driving an old Beetle around, everyone can identify it.

Monday was uneventful but kind of stressful as we drove the car to Santa Monica and then finally to the Reliable Carriers depot for shipment home. It was a great weekend made possible because of a car and car people. We come from varied backgrounds and ages but we all seem to connect when it comes to our passion!

Congratulations on your new ride, and on your adventure in California. It sounds like you bought a great example.

Your photos inspired me to try to post a few photos from a recent long road trip I took in my 993 TT.

If I can only figure out how to upload photos....
